How accessible is gspart?
We want everyone to be able to use gspart easily – including with a screen reader, with a keyboard only, with large text or with low vision. The website and app follow the WCAG 2.1, level AA guidelines and were tested with the axe testing tool – with no errors found. gspart is largely accessible.
What we do
- Clear language, large buttons and easy-to-read contrast.
- Keyboard and screen reader support: headings, labels and alt text, plus a “Skip to content” link.
- Display settings: under “Accessibility” at the bottom left you can enlarge the text, increase the contrast, underline links and turn off motion. In the app under Profile → Font size.
- Shopping list by voice instead of typing.
- Motion is reduced if you’ve set this on your device.
- 7 languages: German, English, Russian, Turkish, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Albanian and Romanian.
What doesn’t quite work yet
- Ad images and videos come from advertisers and don’t always have a text description. You don’t need them to use gspart.
- Text recognition for receipts needs a photo; but you can always type in the amount yourself.
- The map under “Route” opens Google Maps; Google is responsible for it.
